I came to seek help from Barbara in the summer of 2015. I was two years into surgical menopause at this point, and although I had some symptoms, it was all quite bearable. We then made some big changes at home and suddenly my family life was in massive turmoil and things started to change drastically. My hot flashes and night sweats were quite unbearable, I was getting only a couple of hours of sleep a night and I was a nightmare to be around. I turned to Barbara after talking with a colleague who told me that Barbara had helped her to make her transition to a healthy style of nutrition, while also managing some health problems she had. At the time I was at the verge of desperation. I was constantly bloated and constipated which made me irritated and angry; I was trying to lose a few kilos which had been larking around my waist and thighs for the past couple of years and nothing I had tried was working. This included trying several diets and nutrition plans, eating foods which supposedly help constipation, avoided foods known to cause bloating…. NOTHING! I even turned to a specialist and took a food intolerance test which showed certain intolerance to many foods and substances and started managing my diet around the foods that I had no problem with…. NOTHING.
When I visited her, Barbara took the time to gather some information about my health condition, medications I may be taking, my eating habits, other issues I may phase such as PMS and sensitivity to foods, my exercise habits and more. During this first session, I gave her the results of my food intolerance test for reference as well. Within three days, she furnished me with a nutrition plan which accommodated all of the above. Beyond the diet plan, she furnished me with some delicious recipes and a list of supplements which would help me with constipation, PMS and enhance my metabolism.
Once I started with the plan, it took less than a week for me to feel better. No bloating or constipation whatsoever!! Although the first week my weight loss was not the expected, during my second weekly weigh-in visit to Barbara we happily realized that I had lost my first kilo. This was the case during my third visit as well… and still no bloating or constipation!!!
Beyond the obvious life changing benefits, (no longer irritated all the time as a result of my bloating, constipation and PMS mood swings), I generally feel much better. I had a great time with Barbara and the group during the relationships training! It was fun, light hearted, yet brought things to the surface for me to see and review so I may be more focused to who I want to attract. Although we were a group, there was no discussion on in depth personal traits, but rather we worked on ourselves individually, and took home homework to keep up the interest. The service was great and, as with any study, the amount of effort placed into the work, reflected on the amount of value created. So if you are up for it.. I would recommend it! - Roberto S.
I liked very much that we were having small exercises while in session, because it enable me to understand where I stood at the different points you were mentioning. The sessions were very smooth / the delivery rate was normal. I loved the little poems, pieces of literature in the last pages of the handouts you were given us (I am reading the chapter on relationships and is very enlightening)-they are inspirational. In addition the price per session was excellent-I dare to say that it was cheap. In addition the atmosphere was great -good energy and great sense of humour! - Koulla A.
